a smorgasbord...
this last week has been a concoction of work, movies, good food, and hanging out a lot with people from work. On monday night a few of us went to dinner at 5th street fro Alana's birthday, then went for coffee and a walk by the water and a swing on some swings. Then on tuesday night, Dave's little brother, Matt, had a bbq which most of the same people came too (plus my roomie Crystal - the only non-TBG person there, but she got along great) - it was a little chilly outside, but we all warmed up under blankets and votive candles. :) Then on wedneaday morning I had them over for a pancake breakfast. mmmmm.... Then it was back to work again. This morning I'm helping Dave paint his room, and I must say it's a loverly colour! a very warm
sage green. Then it's back to work again! wahoo!

and grocery shopping it was...
yup, nothing too earthshattering over here. just some groceries, a book, and tp. I painted my toenails, attempted to water the garden (somehoe managing to get rather wet and muddy...), made supper for Tara, and went to see yet another movie. But this one was about the life of a guide dog named Quill. It was very cute, and a little sad too.

basically all i'm going to say to sum up the last night is: DD (designated driver, of course), a gathering at a friends house, move to a small party on the beach, a driftwood fire started by some other guy(a safe one), the arrivalcops, no more beach party, waiting for someone's ride on the side of the road at 1:30am with four drunk girls and two drunk boys (one who kept trying to beat up trees...), having a cop car show up behind the friend, getting everyone in the right car, driving away only to turn the corner and have the cops follow and flash their lights, getting out of the car, and yes, breathing into a breathelizer (sp?). Me. it was rather surreal. then, of course, heading to Denny's to eat fries, driving everyone back to the friends (in two trips) and heading home to bed at 3am... weeha. if only i'd remembered to bring my camera. dang it! it was definately amusing most of the time.
tonight? i went to a movie by myself. Star Wars: The Revenge of the Sith. I'm that cool.
tomorrow? The World!
or maybe just some grocery shopping. we'll see.
