What a day. Wrote my GRS exam this morning. It took just over an hour. It was not hard (I was done the multiple choice in like 7 minutes). Then, I headed to the computer lab, made a few edits to two of the stories for my portfolio (Thanks Leila), emailed them to the mom, and headed home. Crystal left me a message via email that she and Leila (our friend form highschool who was visiting) were going to meet for lunch at The Lotus Pond. I decided that I wasn't going to get any work done at home before then, so I headed down to Serious Coffee with a copy of the last story I needed to revise (and one i've been avoiding because it needed a lot of work). I first popped into a&b sound to check if the had The Perishers, a band from Sweden that's touring with Sarah M, and were just in town. They did, and I bought a copy. I really like them; they're mellow, sweet, coldplay/david grey/deathcab for cutie. Anyway, I got an americano at Serious and got "serious" about my revision (oh, i'm so funny, really, I should be a stand up...) Within in an hour I'd done a pretty good overhaul. I met with the gals for lunch and proceeded to get very full on sweet and sour tofu pork balls (what a mouthful!), turnip cake, curried potatoes, spring rolls and more! Such good food, mmmmmm... Then I headed home and began transposing edits onto the computer while chatting with the gals (Tara included now). Said bubye to Leila (thus the pics) and headed back to the computer. Finished the story, sent it to Tara for editing (of which she did a great job) and then said screw it and watched The O.C., and CSI. Finally got to talk to the mom (been trying to get a hold of her all day) had a good chat. Now I'm getting ready for my last sleep before freedom. wahoo!
oh yeah, I almost forgot to mention, I'm getting a car!!! For me, forever (or until it dies) for free! (minus insurence and gas... but I'll take it!) My uncle Brian is giving it to my Dad, who is gifting it to moi. Sooooo Happy about that! (and this is no april fools joke, i really am getting a car!)
