Met with my fiction prof Sean Virgo today, about my third short story. I was a little nervous because it hadn't been workshopped by the class before hand, so it was soley his reading of the story... but he liked it. There were of course suggestions for betterment and a couple concerns, but it was a relief to have him say that he felt that this seemed like more of what I was interested in writing (which is true) and that it came through. Which is good, because I'd been feeling that my fiction writing, as compared to the poetry, was actually suffering because I was feeling limited in what and how I could write. Whew! Now I just have to some how revamp the first two stories by friday!
